Journey to a Hopeful Future
As we approach the holiday season and the end of another year, more than ever, I am amazed at our organization. We have a unique calling in caring for our teen moms and a passion for changing lives, two at a time. There are hundreds of wonderful organizations that rally during the holidays to provide essential items for those in need, such as food, housing, and health services. Here at Mary’s Path, we are called to meet all those needs and so much more.
From the moment a pregnant teen arrives at our door, we only have a short time in our residence to help them heal, learn the nurturing skills of motherhood, continue their education, and instill in them a desire to hope for a bright future – then they are back in the community with little or no help.
In 2025, the county’s budget cuts eliminated funding for our vital Aftercare program. Our staff of residential and mental health professionals have spoken loudly about the critical need to follow up with the girls and their babies after they leave the safety of Mary’s Path and transition safely into a new life. Our new white paper, The Need for Specialized Aftercare and Wraparound for Parenting Foster Youth, which can be found on our website, has just been released and is bringing statewide attention to this crisis. I am proud that Mary’s Path is leading the way, and with your help, we will be able to reintroduce these services as soon as January 2026.
We hope you’ll consider changing two lives at a time by making a gift to Mary’s Path.
Thank you to those who have already contributed over $55,000 to get us started!
